Kilimo call centre
Kilimo Call Centre offers is an e-extension farmer support service that offers small and medium scale farmers with professional advisory services on the day-to-day running of a farm.
Our call centres are run by specialized professionals with a minimum of a degree and 5 years of field experience.
Our call-pick-up language is Kiswahili, but we have the services segmented in regions to enable callers to be assisted by professionals who are fluent in the farmer’s language of choice and possibly familiar with their farm location.
Service cost:
The services offered by the professionals through the call center service are absolutely free.
The cost of the incoming calls is however borne by the callers but at the normal call charges.
Technology.
In order to serve our farmers better, we have integrated emailing, messaging, social media and video tools of communication into service delivery channels.
Call Period.
Each of our farmers is allocated a maximum on-call period of 15 minutes unless there is communication or connection challenges.
Any issue that requires more time to be addressed is then transferred to the Kilimo Dr. program, where the farmer is assisted through a face-to-face discussion with the concerned professional.
